“ Southdown Coffee in Glen Cove is one of my favorite local spots. The coffee is consistently great — smooth, well-balanced, and just what I need to start the day. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which adds to the cozy atmosphere. It’s also a perfect place to study or get work done. You’ll often see med and vet students here with their laptops and textbooks, which gives it a quiet, focused vibe. Comfortable seating, good lighting, and great coffee — what more could you ask for? Highly recommend if you’re looking for a solid cup of coffee and a chill spot to be productive. ”
“ First time here, walked over from my sister's so I was exploring the neighborhood and was delighted to find such a charming, quality cafe! The cappuccino was DELICIOUS, menu has a nice variety without being overwhelming and they had several gluten free pastries, as well as a gf bread for sandwiches. ”
“ Southdown Coffee is my favorite coffee shop on LI. The quality of the coffee, friendly staff and beautiful shops all keep me coming back. I don’t live very close to any of their locations but love to begin a weekend at Glen Cove or Oyster Bay (expanding soon). Northport and Patchogue are also inviting spots. I recommend trying their Hot Oatmeal, Little English, Avo Toast, Grilled Cheese Avo Pesto, fresh Baked scones, bread, muffins etc. ALL are delish! ”
“ What a pleasant surprise. The bldg that house Southdown is easy to spot but I wasn't expecting it to house a coffee shop. Parked right across from it and walked in to a comforting atmosphere. Wood floors, spacious and airy. Fireplace to your right and tables scattered in 3 different rooms and there is outdoor seating too. Plants and paintings dotted the place makes it homey. I was greeted right away and the gentleman graciously gave me time to study the menu. I ordered chai latte with oatmilk and an egg sandwich with prosciutto and avacado. The chai came out pipping hot and full of flavor (tasting ginger and cardamom) the sandwich was freshly pressed and not salty at all. Definitely like to be back to try any items. Loving the vibe and great to hangout with friends. ”
“ Amazing coffee shop. I’ve been to a few other Southdown Coffee locations but this was probably my favorite. The people were so nice and helpful. They had such a nice cozy atmosphere and the menu had a lot of nice healthy options including gluten free bread. I got the avocado pesto grilled cheese, golden tumeric latte and a double chocolate chip gf cookie. Everything was amazing. Will definitely be back! ”
“ Very nice chain coffee business. Actually reminds me a lot of the coffee shops in Georgia so the name fits. They have a great selection of pour over coffee and have very kind staff. The snacks and such are a little over priced (pb&j for 7 and a regular sandwich was 13) otherwise lovely place for wfh, studying, and catching up. ”
“ As fans of Southdown Coffee, we highly recommend to visit their location in Glen Cove since the decor and ambiance is the best among all branches in our opinions. It's cozy and relaxing with artsy furniture and plenty of greens. The roaster is located in the middle of the building and they blend their beans freshly everyday. We got 3 cups of Latte and a cinnamon roll from their limited pastry selection since we were there in the afternoon. The latte was great & refreshing as usual and the cinnamon roll was satisfying & delicate. ”
